Solo Double Bass by Luigi Ferrarotti, Turin anno 1953
This gorgeous looking solo bass by Ferrarotti is super-quick in its response and the sound is crystal clear with great carrying power. Internally the instrument bears the makers original label, while externally the makers brand can be seen just below the back button. In response to the review of this instrument on these web pages none other that Luigi Ferrarotti himself wrote to us and said that he was only 17 when he helped his father construct this instrument. How incredible is that?
For the smaller player or talented soloist this instrument should be put right at the top of their wish list.
