Italian Double Bass by Gabriele Pareschi, Piacenza anno 1979
It is always nice to have something Italian particularly when it comes to instruments of the violin family. They often have magical even mystical connotations. This decently made instrument produces a really excellent warm and rewarding sound. Furthermore, the excellent model and proportions make it a very comfortable to play. In terms of provenance the instrument bears two makers labels. The first is positioned in the normal position on the inside back, the second is positioned on the upper block. In addition, the instrument bears the brand PARESCHI on the pegbox back button.
For the up and coming young professional this would make an excellent lifelong companion.
