This exquisite bow bears the brand of Paul Jombar beneath the leather sweat and wear protector that has been affixed to the top of the stick at the frog end. Although the bow is stamped with the Jombar name, it was in actual fact made for him by one of the greatest late-19th, early-20th century bow makers, namely Victor François Fetique. Accompanying the bow is the certificate of Francois Raffin dated June 2004 that confirms this information and states that the bow is a fine example, in good condition and made around 1915.

What we particularly love about this bow is the quality of the pernambuco, which is exceptionally dense and fine-grained. This in turn has enabled Fetique to create a simply incredible bow-stick that is super-elegant in profile yet still strong and flexible. Regarding the head, well, what superlatives can one afford to omit, for it really possesses everything that only the finest and rarest of bows are endowed by their creator. There is great poise, beautiful proportions and exquisite, confident artistry.

Without question this the finest bass bow that we have ever seen.
