Dupuy a Paris Double Bass Bow

The bows of George Dupuy are often called “a poor man’s Sartory”. This is because George Dupuy was the son-in-law of Eugène Sartory and had an output that many regard as virtually comparable. This beautiful octagonal bow is silver-mounted and was made for Dupuy by François Lott. It is accompanied by a full-photo certificate of the late Bernard Millant that is dated June 2015, who states that the bow is a very good example, it is in good condition and that it was made around 1940. Prior to this summary he states that the head is very elegant and quite typical of the maker.

This truly refined bow is in stunning condition and weighs 133gms.
