When you look at this exquisite instrument it is easy to understand just why John Lott Jnr is regarded as one of the greatest bass makers of all time. It is featured over six full-colour pages in the new publication entitled The English Double Bass and is arguably the most splendid, most well-preserved instrument in the whole book. The instrument bears the label Hart & Sons and the brand Harts can be seen below the back button.

As one would expect the quality of the sound is absolutely amazing.
