German Double Bass by Michael Glass, Adorf, Vogtland anno 1997

German Double Bass by Michael Glass, Adorf, Vogtland anno 1997

Sold

This good quality, meticulously made large viol shaped instrument features a full swell back and outside linings. As such, it is simply perfect for the heavily touring jazz or orchestral player, for the construction makes it both strong and robust. Also perfect for every player is the huge free and even sound that simply spreads out from the sound-box rather like a large bass sub-woofer. In terms of provenance, the instrument bears the maker’s original label which is located in the usual position. It also bears the Glass logo, which is a capital M sitting directly on top of a capital G, immediately below the back button.

Looking at the near-mint condition of the instrument, one would be forgiven for thinking that the instrument is brand new.

All-in-all, it seems a bit of a bargain if you ask me!
