For those players who prefer their bows to be on the short, heavier and stronger side of average, then this Mirecourt bow by Charles Nicholas Bazin would be absolutely perfect. Although the bow bears the brand "Poirson á Paris" it is accompanied by the full photo certificate of the Brussels based bow maker and expert - Pierre Guillaume who states that it was made around 1890. We like the artistic style of the head and the comfortable feel of the bow in the hand.  Best of all we like the way in which the bow sits on the string and draws out a simply colossal sound with very little downward pressure required from the right hand or arm.

This really is one of those bows that is able to produce an extra 25% more sound from your instrument!
